Another Yelp Review:
Thompson and Brown just sold my house for me and I couldn’t be happier with them. I picked them because their name seems to be on every “For Sale” sign in my area (Antelope), and because they’ve been selling here for so long. In fact, it turned out that my realtor George Brown had represented the sellers when I bought my house 20 years ago! So this would be the second time he’s sold this house.
I figured he would have a good idea of what my house would sell for and how long it would take, but I was surprised at how closely he nailed both; apparently he really knows this market. He came to the house and told me exactly what was needed to get the place sold and also make sure the buyer was getting a good house.
I did some repairs and upgrades he suggested (mostly small things like paint touch-ups and minor repairs), he put up the sign and flyers and had a couple of open houses, and we had offers almost immediately. When it was time for closing and paperwork, Brianna helped us through the whole thing and made it easy.
Selling this house was a lot easier than I assumed it would be, and during the process I felt like they were really working hard for me. George was almost always available to talk to me on the phone when I had a question, and if not, I never had to wait more than an hour or two for a callback.
I would absolutely recommend them to anyone. They are nice people and really good at selling houses. I would use them as a buyer too, since they are so easy to deal with and know the Antelope market so well.
I have worked with most agents at Thompson + Brown real estate for the last 10 years. They have proven to be great business partners that always put their client’s needs first. I would recommend them for helping you buy or sell a home. They are very knowledgeable about the short sale process also.
Last year we sold two houses in Antelope. George Brown was the listing agent for both. The way I see it, he and his assistant Brianna Thomison were our saviors. Long before George got the listing, he came and looked at each of the houses and advised us what repairs/renovations to do to enhance the value of the property and what would not be cost effective.
Once he got the listing and put them on the market, the houses got sold within a week and with multiple offers. The excellence of the service starts, however, or rather continues after the acceptance of the most desired offer (his guidance too) and then through the time of escrow closing.
We were overseas and both he and Brianna stayed on top of all the paper work for the loan, appraisal, inspections, termite work, repairs requested by the buyer, and every other detail and work that the bank and State bureaucracies required. When the buyer asked for some electrical work to be done, since we were overseas I was willing to give credit to the buyers in lieu of the work. George said: “No, Anna this is way too much, we can have someone do the work for much less” and he did and saved us another thousand dollars.
Brianna would not hesitate to call overseas if there was an urgent issue and she kept us apprised of everything with emails constantly. I have dealt with many Realtors in the last forty years but the professionalism of the George Brown office and Brianna in particular are unparalleled. They are our Realtors for life!!!!
